    Brass Jewellery Care

    Silver-Plated Jewellery Care

    Silver-Plated Jewellery Care

The warm, golden hue of brass offers a timeless and elegant appearance that complements a wide range of styles.

Brass is an alloy primarily composed of copper and zinc. It is highly durable, making it resistant to tarnish and corrosion when properly cared for. This resilience ensures that your brass jewellery from EFIA Designs will not only retain its beauty but also stand the test of time, allowing you to enjoy it for years to come.

To ensure your brass jewellery stays beautiful, follow these care tips:

    Storage

    • Store your brass jewellery in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
    • Use an airtight bag or container to prevent oxidation and tarnishing.
    • To minimize scratches, store each piece separately or in a soft, lined jewellery box.

    Cleaning

    • Gently wipe your brass jewellery with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove dirt and oils after each wear.
    • For deeper cleaning, create a mixture of warm water and mild dish soap. Dip a soft cloth or toothbrush into the soapy water and carefully clean the jewellery.
    • Rinse thoroughly with clean water and pat dry with a soft cloth.
    • Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as they can damage the brass finish.

    Silver-Plated Jewellery Care

Silver-plated jewellery consists of a layer of silver applied over another base metal. Over time, silver-plated jewellery may tarnish due to exposure to air and humidity. Regular cleaning and maintenance can help keep your silver-plated jewellery gleaming.

Here's how to keep your silver-plated pieces looking their best:

    Storage

    • Store your silver-plated jewellery in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
    • Prevent tarnishing by placing anti-tarnish strips or silica gel packets in your storage container.

    Cleaning

    • Gently wipe your silver-plated jewellery with a soft, lint-free cloth after each use to remove oils and dirt.
    • For tarnished spots, create a paste by mixing baking soda and water. Apply the paste to the tarnished areas, gently rub with a soft cloth, and rinse with water. Be careful not to rub too hard as this could damage the plating.
    • Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth to prevent water spots.

    Glass Bead & Bracelet Care

    Glass Bead & Bracelet Care

The glass beads are crafted with skill and precision, but they may have slight variations in shape and colour due to their handmade nature. Embrace these unique characteristics as part of the charm of your jewellery and care for them in the following ways:

    Wear

    • Handle your jewellery with care to prevent accidental damage. While glass beads are durable, they can chip or break upon impact with hard surfaces.
    •  When putting on and taking off your elasticated bracelet, roll it gently over your hand rather than stretching it excessively. This will help prevent the elastic from weakening over time.

    Storage

    • Store your glass bead jewellery separately from other pieces to prevent scratching and chipping, and keep it away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to prevent potential damage.

    Cleaning

    • If necessary, clean the beads using a mild, diluted dish soap solution and a soft brush or cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals, as they can potentially damage the surface or cause fading. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and pat dry with a soft cloth.
